éContacts is an important module in the world of PuttyHealth™ because, in the first instance, it forms a bridge between patients and PuttyMe®.

Just as important is éContacts role as a connection between EMR and health authorities. For example, in the Australian e-health context, éContacts acts as the identity gateway allowing Individual Health Identifiers (IHI) to be sourced from Medicare.

More generally, éContacts forms a dossier of individual user preferences, for example a patient's preferred family physician. It also regulates guardianship privileges, for example a parent's right to manage their child's medical record.

In addition, éContacts accounts for non-clinical demographic and health-fund data such as ethnicity, health cover status etc.
